Amanda. Hello Natalia! Can you tell us a bit about your life path? What did you study?
Natalia. I always felt the need to create. I studied art during all my life. From Renaissance to Modernism, years passed over books and drawing everyday.
Amanda. What does travelling mean to you?
Natalia. Traveling means moving my body from a place to another. Without consciousness travelling is useless.
Amanda. A memory from a trip that you carry forever in you heart.
Natalia. The first time I went to Brazil. I was wild and free. I did not have a smartphone.
I spent a month in a row just surfing during the day and dancing all night. (Without Insta stories…)
Amanda. Paint, fashion and surf. How did these three things come together for you?
Natalia. Lately I discovered how much pleasure I have realizing portraits. When the painting looks like the person in front of me, I feel like a magician! I do a lot of custom portraits. I guess it’s the need to create something real.
I’d like to combine the concept of beauty with reality.
Fashion its a mirror of our time. It’s so important! Fashion is both sociological and anthropological.
Painting a person = Painting fashion.
Surfing is also very fashionable 🙂 It’s all about having “the flow”.
Amanda. How did your collaboration in the fashion industry started?
Natalia. I set up a portfolio, a cool website and started getting in touch with magazines. It was quite fast actually. I started working with Glamour, Elle, Corriere della Sera, Interni, Disillusion Mag…The list goes on an on.
Amanda. What do you always carry with you to remember your inspirations ? Do you have a kind of notebook?
Natalia. I write random lists on my phone.
Amanda. What is your most beloved brand and why?
Natalia. I’m unfaithful.
Amanda. A project you did that you remember with joy?
Natalia. All the wallpaintings I’ve done. Especially in Morocco.
Amanda. A quote to live more peacefully and happily.
Natalia. “Reality” is just whatever illusion we believe in..
