They are Victoria Feldman and her boyfriend Tomas Berzins.
VICTORIA/TOMAS is a french ready-to-wear brand, founded in 2012, the inspiration of each collections is a conversation between man and a woman, as a couple be like.
W
e would like to know how manage all these brilliant things together and keep your heart protected.
Learn something from that they do in the most natural way they know.

Tea. What kind of relationship born before? You were only partners in business or “crime” from the beginning?

Victoria&Tomas. We met at fashion school in Paris, when we both were on the first course. We felt in love and after we understood that we also have the same vision in our work. VICTORIA/TOMAS as a brand was already came out during our second year in school. The rest is history…

Tea. Can you talk about your typical day together ?
VT.
We are together 24/7 and we always work. The line between personal life and our work is very blurred since the beginning. We eat, work and sleep, that’s what we typically do daily. Right now we are travelling pretty often.

Tea. You share the life and business, it seems not an easy thing to do.. what is the secret to keep your love in safe?
VT. That question comes out very often. This is something that floats super naturally and doesn’t bother us at all. We just do what feels comfortable for both of us. We have fun together, laugh a lot! We also have two heads & four hands, which is quite an advantage.

Tea. I’d like to know something about your roots and your background..
Victoria. I started to live in France at the age of 18. I was born and raised in Moscow, but my life was always connected to France. I was studying in french school in Moscow and my family was spending summer vacations in France. Mentally I’m half russian, half french.
Tomas. I moved to Paris when I was only 17. I came from Riga, Latvia, where I didn’t do much at the time. I was a crazy kid, who was partying a lot and at the same time a very liable person who was searching for a place to be. My family is very average, very united, with a good sense of humor. I spent my childhood in a very average neighborhood, I spent a lot of time with my grandparents, especially with my grandfather who is ex-heavy weight boxer and a true worker, probably this person educated the man in me. Regarding my fashion side, I got it from my mother who is a true inspiration for me, she is a beautiful woman with an outstanding taste, which subconsciously generated my vision of how a woman should be dressed.

Tea. Do you have own specific role during the creativity process?
VT.
We share absolutely everything, we are adapted to switch roles and we still can get the same result

Tea.The fluidity of gender in your creation is the peculiarity of your style, what is it the main source of inspiration?
Victoria.
Each collection is a reflection of our dialog. a mix of woman’s and man’s vision. I’m always trying on pieces from the collection, to be sure that they are comfortable and realistic for a woman, while Tomas is adding his masculin twist in the attitude of this garment, by choosing more masculin fabric, adding pocket or styling it with something less feminine.
Tomas. Lately we are very inspired by Victoria’s cousin sister Marina, who is our model and muse. She is very boyish and feminin at the same time.

Tea. What about the future and what are your ambitions?
VT. We never say it in public before we get it. Our plans is to expand the brand, but step by step. We want to be very grounded and stable. Keep calm, enjoy life and dress women.

Tea. What would you do if you weren’t a fashion designer?
Victoria. I think that’s the most complicated question of the entire interview. I always knew I was born to be a designer but I was not sure which kind of designer. Now I’m on the right track and simply don’t want to think about ”If”.
Tomas. I have no idea…a lawyer ?!
